Gary Alan Moore

Gary Alan Moore, age 61 passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 in Avon Park, Florida. He was born in Gardner, Kansas to John Rudolph and Marian Virginia (Pickens) Moore. He was a Staff Sergeant for the United States Army,( Retired), having served in the United States Army and Marines during the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, he was of the Protestant faith, enjoyed scuba diving, reading and spending time with family and friends, he had been a resident of Avon Park since 2001 coming from Madisonville, Kentucky. He is survived by his son Corporal Thomas Gavin Moore of Camp Pendleton, California; father-CDR John Moore, United States Navy (Retired) of Avon Park, Florida; sister-Debra Burns (David) of Key West, Florida; aunts-Nancy Weber (Philip) of Avon Park, Florida and Elizabeth Baker (David) of Singapore. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida.
