Gail L. Feeney Gail L. Feeney, 72, died on April 19, 2014, in Sebring, Florida. She was surrounded by her friends and family, and her dog CJ. Her pain was eased by the compassionate nursing staff of Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida. Formerly of Albany, she was born Gail Lynn Desmond in Mechanicville, New York in 1941, to James and Florence Desmond. A 1959 graduate of Mechanicville High School, she went on to study music at the Crane School in Potsdam, New York. She had a career with New York Telephone/Verizon as a manager in the accounting department before retiring and relocating to Sebring, Florida. She is survived by her spouse and life-long partner, Ellen C. Nesbitt; her sons Joseph R. Feeney, III, John J. Feeney, and Jerry M. Feeney; grandchildren Ryan Feeney, Rachel Feeney, Grace Feeney, Maxwell Feeney, and Owen Scanu; great-granddaughter Adrienne Feeney. Two sisters, Mary Fink and Cheryl Fusco also survive. Gail will be dearly missed by her loving sisters-in-law Margaret Pearsall and Linda Beardsley; daughters-in-law Carol Dhooge and Carrie Feeney, and son-in-law Dellano Daniels. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother James Desmond, Jr. and her precious infant daughter Lynn. A private ceremony with the family was held, with a rememberance ceremony to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice or the ALS Association are appreciated in her memory.
