In Loving Memory
Fredrick “Freddie” Joe Lamar Jr.
December 2, 1969 – July 16, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fredrick “Freddie” Joe Lamar Jr., age 55, of Daytona Beach, Florida. Freddie passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, in the care of his devoted wife, Lynette Lamar. Freddie was a proud Navy Veteran who honorably served 10 years aboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. His service included deployments during the Iraq War, Desert Storm, and 9/11. He earned numerous medals and served with courage, pride, and dignity. But beyond his uniform, Freddie was a man of joy, generosity, and heart. He never met a stranger. If you needed help, even just a ride to the store, Freddie would stop whatever he was doing to lend a hand. He was someone who showed up for others without hesitation, even during his health struggles. He adored his wife, Lynette, and their love was a true testament to loyalty and partnership, and little Freddie and a friend, helper, and role model to many more. He is survived by his Wife – Lynnette Lamar; Children – Joseph Harold Stewart; Jessyka Lynn Stewart; Christina Dawn Stanton; and 2 Grandchildren. Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
