Frederick Edson Knuth

Fredrick Edson Knuth, 81, Sebring, FL died on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, peacefully in his home with his loving wife of 41 years and family by his side.

Fred was born on July 24, 1944, in Oak Ridge Tennessee to Everett and Alice Knuth.  Fred was proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters and his daughter-n-law.  Fred is survived by his wife, Benita L. Knuth; son Robert B. Knuth; daughter Lora L. (h. Tony) Madrid; daughter Autumn L. (h. Rich) Espinoza and three granddaughters and a grandson.

Upon graduating from Dunedin High School, in Dunedin, FL in 1962, Fred immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force and began his 30-year career, culminating to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.  During this time Fred traveled the world and the US leaving his mark on many friends and colleagues, but it was the fall on 1983 when stationed at Myrtle Beach, SC that he found the love of his life, Benita and his true purpose in life was revealed.  The two made their union official on April 13, 1984, and for the next 41 years they were all each other ever needed or wanted.

From Myrtle Beach, SC, to Hampton, VA, to various locations in Florida, these two experienced life to the fullest! From houses, apartments to a decade span on their boat, The Miss Pitt, they experienced traveling, dealt with the high seas and leaving their mark, together as husband and wife, known as “The It Couple” to so many people.  Upon retiring, they chose to forego living on the boat and moved into a home.  The adventurous side still beating in their chests, they chose to buy an RV, affectionately named “Riley” and once again, began traveling the US to yet again, create new memories and leave their mark on so many.  Some of their favorite spots, creating years of memories for them include, Key West, FL; St. Augustine, FL; Charleston, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; and their favorite time, on the Chesapeake Bay where it all began.

They would often travel to Virginia, Texas, North Dakota and various spots around Florida keeping up with the kids and the grandkids, always sharing their latest adventures with us and always reminding us, we have one life on this Earth, make the most of it! Be kind, be true, be loyal, show compassion, show sincerity, but always, show love.  Fred will be missed more than anyone can imagine, but on behalf of the entire family, we are blessed to have had this man in our lives.  His wishes were to have a toast for him, share your memories and continue to live on.
