Frederick "Fred" J Juliano, Jr.

August 7, 1942 — May 11, 2024

Sebring

Frederick “Fred” James Juliano, Jr. passed peacefully at the age of 81 on May 11th, 2024. His life was filled with good friends, loving family, and just the right amount of mischief. Fred was born on August 7, 1942, to Frederick J. Juliano Sr. and Dorothy E. Becker Juliano in Camden, NJ.

Around 1949, Fred and his family moved to Florida. Fred attended Fort Myers High School but quit around the age of 16, upon which his father sent him to attend Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville GA. At the age of 18, he joined the Air Force where he valiantly served his country in the Korean War with the 101st Airborne. He was a paratrooper tasked with rescuing his brothers in arms.

In 1965, his brother and future brother-in-law set him up on a blind date with the woman who would become the love of his life and the future mother of his children; Carol J. Kovacs. The couple married on June 11th, 1966, and welcomed their first child, Susan J. Juliano.  They lived on his family’s flower farm growing chrysanthemums. In 1970 their family was complete with the birth of Fred’s only son; Fred Juliano III.

After Fred’s father got out of farming, Fred explored different business opportunities. Over the years, he opened a welding shop and built airboats, opened a fruit and vegetable market, and worked for a large pest control company. After moving their family to Sebring, FL in 1982, Fred and Carol worked with another couple to start their own pest control business called  Aaction Pest Control. A few years later, Fred started Freedom Exterminating which he would pass on to his daughter.

Continuing his family’s agricultural roots, Fred started C&F Farms where he grew and packed blueberries. The businesses expanded to include strawberries and added a packing house in Alma, GA.  After taking a trip to California, Fred was inspired to try a new business venture; he created Fred Juliano Enterprises where he began by selling citrus ladders and later added other harvesting supplies.

On top of being a hard worker, Fred became not just a father-in-law but more of a father to Susan’s husband, Shawn, and to Fred III’s wife, Theresa. Fred was also an extraordinary grandfather to four grandkids; Dominique, Christian, Kirsten, and Heather. Fred could often be found at the gun range with his friends, son-in-law, or his grandkids. Christian and Heather both went on “adventures” out west with their grandpa. Always driving and never flying, Fred frequented Wyoming to hunt.

After retiring from Fred Juliano Enterprises in 2016 he could often be found in his office loading ammo shells or in his recliner skipping through commercials and eating ice-cream. If not home, he and his wife Carol were often on the lake fishing, one of Fred’s favorite activities.

After suffering a stroke in June 2021 Fred’s family surrounded him with love and support. On May 11th, Fred passed peacefully, off to go fishing with his dad whom he called Pops.

A celebration of life to honor and celebrate Fred’s memory will be held at Alliance Church of Sebring, 4451 Sparta Rd, Sebring, FL on Sunday, May 19, 2024, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM. Pastor Steve Hagan will officiate.
