Frederick E. Howe

Frederick E. Howe, age 82, of Sebring, FL, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017.  He was born September 20, 1934 in Harrisburg, PA to Raymond and Grace (Baldwin) Howe.  He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years active duty with stations in Japan, Korea, Germany and Vietnam.  Among other commendations, he received the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and Parachute Badge.  Later, he served as an Army Recruiter and was employed at Rock Island Army Arsenal in Davenport, IA.  Frederick enjoyed restoring houses and selling them and also enjoyed spending time with his family.  He loved the Lord and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.  He has been a resident of Sebring, FL since 2012, coming from Galipolis, OH.  Survivors include his Wife – Agnes Darleen Howe of Sebring, FL; Son – Vance Howe of Maurice, LA; Sisters – Belva, Janice and Deloris; Sisters-in-law – Pat Watson and June Zwald (Duane); and several nieces and nephews.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Baptist Church, Sebring, FL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Baptist Church – Youth Fund or the American Cancer Society.
