Freda Marie Lighty

FREDA MARIE LIGHTY Freda Marie Lighty, age 83, of Sebring, went home to be with her Lord on Sat. Nov. 12, 2011. She was born on Aug. 23, 1928 in Frankfort, IN to Rev. Lonnie E. and Edna (Leatherbury) Cole. She was a Bookkeeper, working many years for IH Ford and Wells Motor Co., a member of the Avon Park Church of the Nazarene, where she was an accomplished musician, pianist, and organist. She ministered alongside her husband in numerous places for over 50 yrs, most recently volunteering at The Palms of Sebring. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, quilting, baking bread, and has been a resident since 1956, moving from Marion, IN. Survivors Include: Husband- Rev. James E. Lighty of Sebring; Daughters- Nancy L. (Noel) Scott of Avon Park, FL and Janet K. (Charlie) Lowe of Wauchula, FL; Son- John David (Lori) Lighty of Orlando, FL; 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. Nov. 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Avon Park Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in the Bougainvillea Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tues. Nov. 15, 2011 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Avon Park Nazarene Church Missionary Society, 707 W.
