FRED "SONNY" LAWRENCE Fred "Sonny" Lawrence, age 74, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 in Sebring, FL. He was born September 19, 1938 in Miami, FL to Fred R. and Dora E. (Pilgrim) Lawrence. He was a Rancher, member of the Athens Baptist Church in Bereah, FL, served in the U.S. Army, loved hunting, fishing, raising horses, making bullwhips, playing the guitar and most especially spending time with his family. He has been a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1990, coming from Zolfo Springs, FL. He is survived by his Wife of 53 years - Ouida Lawrence of Avon Park, FL; Sons - Burt Lawrence of Okeechobee, FL; Todd Lawrence of Avon Park, FL; Daughters - Carolyn Lowe (Gene) of Okeechobee, FL; Donna Hagan (Allen) of St. Petersburg, FL; Cindy Hurlbert (Trent) of Lithia, FL; Brother - Harold Lawrence of Arkansas; 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Athens Baptist Church in Bereah, FL with Rev. J.L. Howard officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Athens Baptist Church, 6510 W. Bereah Road, Fort Meade, FL 33841.
