Fred grew up in Elwood, IN and loved to race nascars and work on cars of any kind. He was active duty Navy for four years as a 3rd Class Sheet Metal Specialist and served in the Naval Reserves for 10 years. During this time he was awarded a China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and The National Defense Service Medal.

After his time in the service he moved to Miami, Florida where he met the love of his life, Jean. Fred was self employed as an automobile paint and body man. He also worked for the Yellow Cab Company as a supervisor over the mechanics.

Fred loved to race cars, fix up old golf carts, build things and teach anyone willing to learn. But, Fred’s love and devotion to his family were his priorities. He will always be remembered as a loving, helpful, generous and patient man.
