FRANKLIN WAYNE STILL January 13, 1949 August 20, 2011 After a long courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Franklin Wayne Still, of Sebring, FL entered into the gates of heaven to be at peace with his Lord on August 20, 2011 while surrounded by family. Wayne was born January 13, 1949 in Acushnet, Massachusetts and raised in Lanett, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Liz; daughters, Caitlin and Candra; his mother, Sally Still of Lanett; sisters Sandy (Daniel) Stewart of Avon Park, FL and Carol (JC) Dollar of St. Joseph; and his devoted dog, Margaret. Wayne was a graduate of Lanett High School (1967) and of Opelika Tech. Wayne was an EMT with Highlands County EMS, retiring after 30 years of service. During his career he was credited with the saving of numerous lives and extending the lives of many more. Wayne deeply appreciated his EMS co-workers and numerous friends who added so much enjoyment to his life. A service of celebration honoring Waynes life and his service to others will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Sebring. The service will be officiated by The Very Rev. James E. Kurtz of Sebring and the eulogy will be delivered by The Rev. J.C. Dollar of Saint Joseph, MO.
