FRANKLIN LEWIS HEIM Franklin Lewis Heim, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania on May 1, 1936 to Lewis Loren and Laura (Bamford) Heim. He was an Assistant Superintendent in the Public Schools; served in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Okinawa and the Philippines; he was an avid golfer and member of the mens Golf Association at Sun N Lake Golf and Country Club; Graduate of Bloomsburg State University, PA and Montclair State University, NJ; taught Biology in Pennsylvania and New Jersey public schools and was a high school soccer and wrestling coach; He was active with the Special Olympics in New Jersey. He was a winter resident of Sebring since 1988 and full time since 1992 coming from Succasunna, NJ. He is survived by his wife Betty L. Heim of Sebring, FL; sons, Kevin L. Heim of Avon Park, FL and Kenneth H. Heim of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Laura Heim, Meghan Heim and Connor Heim; 1 great grandchild; preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Marlin Jeremiah. Private burial services will be held in May in Stonington, Pennsylvania. Contributions may be made in his memory to The Salvation Army.
