Franka Ann Butler

Franka Ann Butler, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Sebring, Florida.  She was born on July 1, 1949 to the late Merlin and Bobbie Jean (Childs) Burgess in Albany, Georgia.  She had been a resident of Avon Park since 2007 having moved from Wauchula, Florida.  She graduated from the Mid-State Medical Academy and had worked as a Laboratory Technician.  She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church.  She had been a member of the Red Hat Society and loved crafting and especially her dogs and cats.  She is survived by her, Step-Mother, Regina Burgess of Cape Coral, FL;  Step-Daughter, Peggy Atwell (Brad Tilson) of Ocala, FL;  Step-Brothers, Christopher Chandler of Key West, FL and Daniel Chandler of Cape Coral, FL; Two Nieces, Auden and Ella Chandler of Cape Coral, FL; Long-time Friends, Lavonda & Dudley Rogers of Wauchula, FL.  She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, James Butler.  There will be a funeral service on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Avin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Wauchula Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
