Frank R. Gallagher, Jr., 84, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home. He will be greatly missed by his family. Frank was born February 10, 1929, to Frank and Gertrude (Edgar) Gallagher, in New Hamburg, New York and had been a resident of Lake Placid since 1990. He was a graduate of Wappinger's Central School and completed an Associate's Degree through the G.I. Bill as a designer and worked in the computer industry. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and was of the Methodist faith. He loved all sports and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his sons, Glenn A. (Barbara) Gallagher, Cary, NC and Don (Helen) Arseneault, Broomfield, CO; his deceased wife, Jean's three children, Rick Jaked; Donna Sullivan and Linda Edwards; sisters, Betty Connley, Vermont and Lou Henderson, New York and grandchildren, Nicole and Daniel Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lou Gallagher and Jean Jaked Gallagher and his dear, dear friend, Joanne McGill. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, FL. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
