Francis Alroy Waters

F. Alroy Waters, age 79, of Bereah, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015. He was born September 5, 1936 in Bereah, Florida to George Wilson and Myrtle Rose (Best) Waters. He was a lifelong resident of Bereah. He was a Citrus grove owner and retired banker. He enjoyed music and served as pianist and organist for churches for many years. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church of Ft. Meade, FL. Alroy was a Florida Gator fanatic and held season tickets in the north end zone for 36 years. But, above all else, he dearly loved his family. He is survived by his Wife - Juanita Waters of Bereah, FL; Daughter - Lisa Portwood (Randy) of Babson Park, FL; Sons - Greg Waters (Debbie) of Lake Wales, FL; David Waters (Christine) of Wauchula, FL; Sister - Carolyn Hunter of Lakeland, FL; Step-Sister - Nettie Mae Bartlett of Lakeland, FL; Grandchildren - Ashley Pearce, Jacob Smith, Bryce Smith, Taylor Waters, Summer Waters, Cole Waters; Great Grandchildren - Savanna Pearce and Denim Pearce. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Parrish officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Corinth Cemetery.
