FRANCIS JOSEPH DALTON Francis Joseph Dalton, 85, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Sebring. He was born November 23, 1926 to Samuel and Clara (Hayes) Dalton in Detroit, Michigan, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2008, coming from Indialantic, FL. He was an Engineer for Ford Motor Company and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Sparta Road Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, football and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and attending church. He is survived by his devoted and loving friend, Melanie; his children, Diana, Sharleen, Shannon, Joe, James, Mary, Shawn and Patrick; sister, Eva; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joan. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, with Rev. Ken Geren, W. Mike Adams and Pastor Reinhold Buxbaum officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.
