Frances De Leon

Frances De Leon, age 78, of Avon Park, FL passed away on May 22, 2022 in Sebring, FL. She was born on August 7, 1943 in Mercedes, TX to Santiago and Francisca De Leon. She was a CNA in Fresno, CA for 20 years before moving to Wauchula, FL in 1998. There she worked at East Coast Migrant Head Start as a daycare teacher until she retired. Frances was a very loving and caring person with a big heart. Described as a social butterfly, Frances was always one to forgive and always one to make people laugh and smile. She will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her Brothers – Jimmy De Leon, Ruben De Leon, and Guadalupe De Leon; Sisters – Corina Chacon, Consuelo De La Peña, and Delia De Leon; Children – Julia De Leon Comadore and John De Leon; and 10 Grandchildren – Adreina Rodriguez, Melina Palacios, Alan Palacios, Eleona Palacios, Josiah Mitchell, Kimani Mitchell, Guadalupe De Leon, D’anna De Leon, Thalia Valdez De Leon, and Aaliyah Valdez De Leon.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park beginning at 12:00 PM with family greeting friends beginning at 11:00 AM.
