Frances G. “Tanny” (Packard) Desillier, of Avon Park Fl, passed away November 9, 2020
Frances was born January 9, 1939 in Boston, MA. Daughter of the late Ernest and Marjorie (Estabrooks) Packard. Tanny resided in Bellingham for over 33 years before relocating to Avon Park FL., 20 years ago. Frances graduated from Medway High School, Class of 1957. Before retiring, Tanny worked for more than 25 years at K-Mart located in Milford. After relocating to Florida, Frances was highly active in her retirement community at Crystal Lake Club, Avon Park. Tanny was always involved in planning and working community events, her most special being the annual St Patrick’s Day party where she prepared her famous Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner. Tanny loved getting together with friends for game night playing Scrabble and Bunko. Her favorite hobby was baking, which she turned into a small business within her community, taking orders for home baked cakes, cookies, pies, and breads.
Frances is survived by her two daughters: Jeanne Gallagher and her husband John of Hubbardston and Nicholle Desillier of Framingham. Also, by her four sons: Adrien Desillier III and his wife Nivia of Leominster, Paul Desillier and his wife Adriana of Needham, Peter Desillier and his wife Jane of Oxnard, CA., Thomas Desillier and his wife Christine of Corpus Christi, TX. Frances was known as “Grammy” to her 14 grandchildren and her two great granddaughters. Tanny is also survived by her sister Katherine (Kitty) Mosher and her husband Charles, and sisters in law Nancy Packard, and Sandie Packard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances is predeceased in death by her infant son Timothy Francis Desillier, and ten of her siblings Mary Dupis, Marjorie Packard, Jeanne Parker, Franklin Packard, Charles Edward Packard, Ernest Packard, John Packard, Gerald Packard, Daniel Packard, and Christine (Packard) Blethen.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in her name to the American Kidney Fund.
