Fortunato Calimquim Fernandez

Fortunata Calimquim Fernandez went to sleep in Jesus just after midnight on September 6, 2021. She laid down her burdens, trials and labors on Labor Day. She was 93 years old. Born on July 29, 1928 to Venancio Calimquim and Generosa Tamayo in the Philippines. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a homemaker and was an avid gardener. A member of the Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. She is survived by her 98 year old husband of 79 years – Pedro Fernandez of Avon Park, Florida. Children: Rufo and Nilda Fernandez of Palawan Philippines; Eugenio and Erlinda Fernandez of Pangasinan, Philippines; Ellen and Fred Isidro of Avon Park, Florida; Priscilla  and Andres Sagabaen of Tariac, Phillipines; Marie and Lorenzo Cabanilla of Buckley, Washington State; Tito Fernandez of Avon Park, Florida; Rebecca and Pepito Montemayor of Avon Park, Florida; 27 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park.  Pastor: Roldan Mendoza officiating. Family Visitation at 10:00 and service at 11:00 and Interment at Bougainvillea Cemetery shortly after.
