FLOYD LEE TAYLOR Born September 17, 1925, in Sebring, Florida, raised, lived and passed away September 27, 2010 in Sebring. He is survived by his wife of 57 years of marriage, Christine Taylor; daughter, Diane L. Ziesenheim and son-in-law, Ken Ziesenheim; son, Terry Lee Taylor and daughter-in-law Prukchat Taylor; grandson, Trevin Thanawat-Lee Taylor; two brothers, O.L. Taylor and Haywood Taylor and his beloved Jack Russell Dog, Zoe, all of Sebring, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Lee and Katie Taylor and two sisters, Pete Carson and Molly Deloney. He was a graduate of Sebring High School and a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He then attended Florida Southern College and the University of Florida, earning his Masters Degree in Accounting. He worked a short time in a large accounting firm in Atlanta, GA before being asked to come back to Sebring to help his wifes father, Henry Crutchfield, in the family Citrus business. He worked there for many years before being asked to be the General Manager of Sebring Packing Company, where he worked for 36 years before retiring. Floyd was well respected in the community and in the citrus business. During his life he was a member of many organizations the list is long, but a few were the Sebring Firemans Association; Highlands County Fair Association; Sebring Golf Association; VFW; Elks; Jaycees; Coach of the Lions Little League Baseball team and many more in the Citrus business, including Sealed Sweet; Fresh Fruit Shippers; Tangerine Co-op and more. Floyd loved fishing, hunting and golf. He loved so much being in the woods at camp or fresh and salt water fishing. He loved his family, relatives and friends and would do anything to help them out. Floyd will be greatly missed by them and so many in the community. He was one of the few left who are native to Sebring and lived his life here and was proud of it. He was a down to earth, common sense man, who will be so greatly missed by so many. We all love you and thank you for all the good times and so many memories. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, Mike Adams officiating.
