Florentino "Ismael" Garcia

Florentino “Ismael” Garcia, age 87, of Avon Park, FL, passed away on April 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving children. He was born on March 14, 1935, to Felipe Garcia and Donatila Vazquez in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Florentino “Ismael” Garcia retired from Knickerbocker Machine Shop, Inc. as a Machinist in Totowa, NJ.

He is preceded by his wife of 54 years – Aida Luz Garcia; Daughter – Carmen Garcia; and Grandson – Jose “Pucho” Gonzalez. He is survived by his Children – Aida Perez, Maritza Huther, Alberto Garcia, and Gladys Vidal; Grandchildren – Daisy Santiago, Alberto Garcia, Jr., Vanessa Long, Jennifer Melendez, Adriana Perez, Ricardo Garcia, Daniel “Ison” Huther, Melissa Tupete, John Allen Huther, and Ryan Huther; 11 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. Florentino “Ismael” Garcia will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL, beginning at 12 PM, with family receiving friends at 11 AM. Services will be officiated by John Huther.
