Fidelia Varn Jahna

Fidelia Varn Jahna, age 86, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017.  She was born on March 13, 1931 in Fort Meade, FL to David Hugh & Erma (Strain) Varn, Sr.  Fidelia was a Homemaker and a loving mother, member of the Garden Club, Friend’s of the Great Smoky Mountains, Union Congregational Church, supporter of the Girl Scouts, a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award, and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL.  Survivors include her Children – Freddie Jahna (Cathy Jo); Dee Dee Harstine (Jeff); Candis Davis (Keith); David Jahna (Cheryl); Farris Jahna (Penny); Noel Jahna (Kim); Albert Jahna (Beth); Conley Jahna (Susan); Sister – Mary Varn Fort; 25 Grandchildren; and 18 Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Parents and her Husband – Frederic W. Jahna, Sr.  A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Union Congregational Church with Rev. Bill Breylinger officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to promote the establishment of Avon Park Sports.  Funds can be made to the Frederic and Fidelia Jahna Memorial Fund, c/o Heartland National Bank.   Or, memorial contributions may be made to the Union Church for restoration of the Historical Congregational Church.
