Felix "Phil" Sylvio Catudal, 85, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, in Sebring, Florida, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.. Born on September 28, 1939, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to the late Albert and Marie Catudal, Phil lived a life filled with love, service, and an unending desire to spread joy to those around him.
Phil proudly served his country in the National Guard and worked as a tax collector for the State of New Hampshire before retiring. Eight years ago, he and his beloved wife, Elyce, moved to Lake Wales, Florida, where he embraced his retirement years with zest.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of many years, Elyce Catudal; his children, Suzanne Foot (Herb), Rick Catudal, and Stacy Parr (Randy); his sisters, Gertrude Dussault and Germaine Jackson; his cherished grandchildren, Timothy, Jessica, Michael, and Derek; and his seven great-grandchildren, William, Grace, TJ, Cecilla, Adianna, Amelia, and Anakin.
A devout Catholic, Phil was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, exemplifying the order's values of charity, unity, and service. His faith was the foundation of his life, inspiring his many acts of kindness and generosity. He was a natural showman and a gifted entertainer. He dedicated much of his time to performing at senior living facilities, initially as a one-man band and later as a member of the "Boot Scootin' Boomers." Phil's humor, warmth, and infectious energy brought countless smiles to those who needed them most.
Phil had a profound love for traveling, which he combined with his passion for photography. Known for his intelligence, generosity, kindness, and vibrant social spirit, Phil had an innate ability to connect with others. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a fun-loving grandfather who inspired joy and laughter.
His legacy is one of love, community, and a life lived fully. Phil will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. May his memory continue to bring smiles, as he so often did during his lifetime.
