Faye Laurine Anderson, age 95, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Fosston, Minnesota to Neal and Gladys Anderson, and grew up in a Christian family with her five siblings. Faye was saved at Vacation Bible School in June of 1929 at the age of eight and after high school she attended Northwestern Bible School and seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was there that God laid it on her heart to become a missionary, and she had the privilege of serving for thirty-five years in Nigeria, West Africa, teaching and training Nigerian young people for the Lord’s service. Faye retired in 1986 and came to the SIM Retirement Village in Sebring, Florida in 1988. She is survived by a sister, Vivian Hall, of Williamsburg, Virginia. She is preceded in death by three sisters, Ethelyn Anderson, Evelyn Steinhert and Ruby Christopherson and a brother, Leo Anderson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at the SIM Chapel, 900 Andes Drive, Sebring, Florida.
