Evelyn Maxine Overstreet

Maxine Overstreet passed away October 24, 2019 in Lake Placid, Florida. Her parents were Marie Coble and Herman Quinn from Carroll County, Burnettsville, IN. Her husband was Wilbur D. Overstreet, one brother and one sister have preceded her in death.  She has one sister living, Lois L. Smith, Monticello, IN and several nieces and nephews.  Maxine was raised in Logansport, Indiana.  She worked and retired from the General Telephone Company.  She was the first woman in the company to receive the man of the year award.  She also was the first woman to drive a company car.  Wilbur and Maxine retired to Lake Placid, Florida.  She volunteered at the library.  She also worked at South Florida State College in Avon Park, Florida for several years.  She was a member of the American Legion and other organizations.  She loved and enjoyed her church family and had many good friends.  She was truly a Christian woman and very generous and kind.  There will be no services and she will be placed at the Ever Rest Cemetery in Logansport, IN next to her husband.
