EVELYN S. EVIE LOHNES Evelyn S. Evie Lohnes, 89, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Sebring. She was born January 3, 1922, to John B. and Jo (Moore) Smith in Asheville, North Carolina, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1986, coming from Nigeria, West Africa. She was a Registered Nurse, serving as a Missionary with SIM from 1951 until her retirement in 1990. She attended Grace Church Sebring. Evie is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Jo (Thomas) May and Nancy (Rodney) Macamaux, both of Wakefield, RI; son, David (Kathryn) Lohnes, France; sister, Bobbie Campa, Tampa, FL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Lohnes in 2007. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in the Fellowship Hall of SIM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Grace Church, Sebring, with Rev. David Lohnes officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
