Evelyn Faith Hilgemann

Evelyn Faith Hilgemann, age 82, of Avon Park, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 5, 2022. She was born on August 28, 1940 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the second daughter of Oliver and Edith Kinsler. She was known as “Evie” and “Sis” to her family. Evie married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hilgemann, after high school. She was a homemaker and a young mother of three daughters. Evie and Bob enjoyed their life. They owned motorcycles most of their life and continued to ride and enjoy the freedom of the open roads well into their 80’s. Together, they spent their time camping, traveling, bowling, dancing at polka festivals, watching Nascar racing and her beloved Green Bay Packers. As a young mother, she volunteered with her daughters’ schools and activities. She was a Girl Scout Leader and a Junior Bowling Coach. Later in life, she worked on an assembly line at a mail order catalog company. Evie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Tammy Cundy. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Bob Hilgemann; daughters – Elizabeth Perkins (Jim), and Robin Haney; sister – Loretta Wright; and 5 grandchildren – Sean Cundy (Crescent), Melissa Satterfield (Derek), C.J. Silvers, T.J. Haney, and Amber Haney. The family of Evelyn Faith Hilgemann would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Vitas Healthcare Hospice, their dedicated nurses and staff for their compassionate care and thoughtfulness.
