EVELYN HAMMOND Evelyn Hammond, 85, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, in Avon Park. She was born November 11, 1924, to Elijah and Nellie (Burton) Hendricks in Mitchell, Indiana, and had been a resident of the area since 1989, coming from Bedford, Indiana. She was a homemaker; a member of Eastern Star; enjoyed golf; was an avid reader and enjoyed handicrafts and arranging flowers. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church and the church choir where she sang duets and solos. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hammond of Sebring, FL; daughter, Lydia Taylor, Roswell, GA; brothers, John Hendricks, Bedford, IN and Kenneth Hendricks, Bloomington, IN and one Grandchild, Sean Taylor. The family has suggested that those who wish may make donations in her name to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, 12502 Pine Dr., Tampa, FL.
