Eugenie Vesta Adams

Eugenie Vesta Adams, 82, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. Born on September 21, 1942, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Bessie Cottrell.

Eugenie moved to Sebring in 2006 from Bradenton, Florida, embracing her community with warmth and generosity. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Donald R. Adams; two loving daughters, Brenda Dahl and Dyana Vance; four cherished grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren who were all touched by her kindness and creativity. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Wilbur W. Hawkey and her grandson, Justin Dahl.

A dedicated and talented woman, Eugenie devoted many years to the Parks and Recreation Department in Pennsylvania, where she worked with dedication and care. Her commitment to service extended beyond her career as she was an active member of the Spring Lake Presbyterian Church, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and The Eagles Organization.

Eugenie was known for her creativity and generosity. She had a deep love for crafting, often gifting handmade treasures to friends and family. Her paintings and beautifully crafted baskets filled her home with vibrant colors and intricate designs, each piece a testament to her artistic talent and her love for bringing beauty into the lives of those around her.

Eugenie will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, her dedication to her family and friends, and the joy she brought through her art and her presence. She leaves a legacy of love, generosity, and creativity that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
