Eugene Roland Haas

Eugene Roland Haas and Marjorie Russell Haas, age 94 of Sebring, Florida answered their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ call 3 days apart. Eugene on December 17, 2022, and Marjorie on December 14, 2022.

Luke 23:43: “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise”.

Eugene was born on July 29, 1928, in East St. Louis, Missouri to Otto and Lucille ( née McGee) Haas, along with his siblings James and Diana as well as Mary Jane who precedes him. Marjorie was born on April 8, 1928, and raised on a farm in Oraville, Illinois to Lawrence and Myrtle ( née Uhles) Russell, along with her siblings, Bill and John who precedes her. Heaven was rejoicing as they were reunited with their son Mark Haas who preceded them. Eugene and Marjorie met at Full Gospel Tabernacle in East St. Louis, Missouri at a Latter Rain Revival movement that was sweeping the nation.  It was a classic city boy meets country girl.  Eugene was an ordained minister on the managerial staff at West Evangelical and Marjorie was a legal secretary and Troy Bible College graduate.   They were married April 28, 1951, a union that lasted 71 years on earth and an eternity in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:1: “For we know when this earthly tent we live in is taken down, we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands”.  Our mother and father have a new house and their greatest prayer was that all their family join them in eternity someday.

Mom and Dad are survived by their 6 surviving sons, David (Liz) Haas, Daniel (Darlene) Haas, John (Kaz) Haas, Paul (Peggy) Haas, Stephen (Karen) Haas, Philip (Kathy) Haas, and wife of late son Mark (Theresa Haas). Our parent’s legacy will continue through her 19 Grandchildren: David Jr (Stephanie), Leah (Joel), Jacob (Sheila), Rachel (John), Anna, Daniel (Michae), John Nathan (Gillian), Seth, Caleb, Hannah, Paul Joseph, Kenny, Joanne (Joe), Matthew (Julie), Rebekah, Joshua (Christina), Adam, Blake (Alexandra), Reagan (Wyatt).  35 Great Grandchildren: Lilly Grace, Maddie Rose, Oliver, Oscar, Owen, Jethro, Evelyn, Lexi, Kanaan, Jaxson, Emma, Elijah, Haley, Maci, Trae, Ruby, January, Leo, Joey, Josie, Elizabeth, Kiersten, Makailah, Abigail, Grace, Olivia, Luke, Nathanial, Caleb, Kelson, Maleah, Madelynn, Joshua Jr., Shaina, Kailyn, Michelle, and Theodore.  3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Kade, Kylie, Charlotte.

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away”.
