Eugene "Buddy" Duprey

EUGENE BUDDY L. DUPREY, SR. Eugene Buddy L. DuPrey, Sr., 85, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010, in Sebring. He was born May 28, 1925, to Eugene and Laura (Tessier) Dupree in Killingly, Connecticut, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1975, coming from Wakefield, Massachusetts. He was a salesman for a gas company; a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Cracker Trail Marine Corps League; Knights of Columbus and served as an officer in a recovery program. He also was an avid photographer; enjoyed golf in his early years and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Betty DuPrey; children, Donna (Gerard) Auger, Massachusetts; Caron (Gary) Kinsey, Sebring; Cynthia DuPrey, Avon Park, FL; Eugene L. DuPrey, Sebring; Janis LeBlanc, New York and Patricia (Dennis) Boni, Massachusetts; brother, George Dupree, Massachusetts; sister, Laura Graziano, Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, with funeral services beginning at 5:00 p.m., Rev. Mike Adams officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
