Ethel G. David

Ethel G. Bowen David, age 92, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Lake Placid, Florida. Mrs. David was born in Chicago, Illinois to Michael and Kathryn (Andreva) Greene. Mrs. David was a homemaker, of the Catholic faith and had been a resident of Lake Placid since 1979 coming from Maryland. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, reading, walking and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children-Joan Hellen of Clovis, California, Kathleen Bowen of Sebring, Florida, Anita Scott of St. Paul, Minnesota, Stanley Bowen of Waldorf, Maryland and Chuck Bowen of Longs, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. David was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years-Stanley Bowen, a daughter-Margaret Bowen and a son-Lawrence Bowen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Geren officiating.
