Esther "Tete" Cordero

Esther “Tete” Cordero is resting on the Lord on May 28, 2025, at the age of 56. Tete was born on December 9, 1968, in Manhattan, New York to David and Esther Cordero. A woman of strong faith, Tete aided in directing and performing the music at her church, where she used her God given voice to sing and play the guitar. She was heavily involved in her faith and her church community.

Tete was a social butterfly.  She never met a stranger, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She worked for a radio station as a DJ, which she found great joy in doing. Tete loved to go to different places, whether that be taking a day trip out of town, going to theme parks, or most importantly, the beach. Tete adored the beach. She enjoyed watching the sun set over the ocean. She was always captivated by all of the pretty colors of the sunset, especially her favorite color, which was orange.

Death is nothing else but going home to see God, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity. Tete touched the lives of many and will be deeply loved and missed by all those who knew her.

Tete is survived by her parents David and Esther Cordero (Sebring, FL); her sister Naomi Prosper (Sebring, FL); her sister Janette "Gina" Rodriguez (Lakeland, FL); and her granddaughter Tiara Nieve (Puerto Rico). She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Garcia. There will be a visitation in honor of Tete on Friday May 30, 2025 at 5pm, following will be a service at 7pm.
