Erna Helene Wollerman

July 12, 1914 - March 30, 2017 Erna H. Wollerman, 102 (and eight months), Sebring, Florida, formerly of Lehigh Acres, FL and Chicago, Illinois passed away at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Sebring, Florida. She was born to Otto and Mary Monicke on July 12, 1914 in Tigerton, Wisconsin. She was the second oldest of six children and has one living sister, Lu Kurtz of Lehigh Acres, FL. The family lived and worked on a crop farm. During her teen years she spent her summers working at Phillips Moon Beach Resort in Eagle River, WI. In her late teens she moved to Chicago, IL. She married Lawrence Wollerman (now deceased) on June 15, 1935 and welcomed three children, Lawrence Wollerman, Jr., James Wollerman (deceased), and Gail Wollerman Fricker. She has nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Erna and Lawrence lived and worked in Chicago until they retired to Lehigh Acres, FL in the 1970's. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Lehigh Acres for more than 30 years and enjoyed entertaining, playing golf with the Lehigh "nine-holer's", card and board games. For the last five years she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Avon Park. Christ Lutheran will hold a memorial service on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. The church is located at 1320 County Rd. 64 East, Avon Park, FL 33825.
