Erie Mae Bent

Erie Mae Bent was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Frank Holmes and Aida Hutchins. Erie Mae worked for many years at the Florida Alcoholic Treatment Center as the Facilities Superintendent. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and friend to many. Erie Mae had many past-times; she truly enjoyed having conversations with her neighbors and friends, baking, visits from her children, and grandchildren. She had an unwavering love for GOD and enjoyed nothing more than singing his praise. She was a faithful member of Church of God in Christ of Avon Park, Florida and attended regularly until she was no longer able to do so. She will be missed by all. Mrs. Bent is survived by her beloved children-Lewis Hills, Mardell Hills, Daletha Hills, Robert Hill, Erdley Bent, Jr. and Michael Bent. 18 grandchildren and a host great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Ms. Bent was preceded in death by 2 sons-George Hills and Lebert Foster. Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Church of God in Christ, 1320 South Carolina Avenue, Avon Park, Florida 33825. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ with Elder Carl Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
