Enid S. Henderson

Enid S. Henderson, age 94, passed away on November 6, 2015 in Palm Bay, FL after a long illness. Enid was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on March 26, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, retired Naval Commander William Henderson, and sisters, Ireta O'Malley and Betty Durtschi. Enid will be remembered with great love by those who knew her. Enid had said she "survived" 33 moves with her husband during his Naval career and had been a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1995. Recently, she was being cared for by her grandson, Michael Henderson and his wife Michelle in Palm Bay, FL. Enid was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avon Park and was an avid bridge player, often playing several times a week. She is survived by her grandson and his wife, Michael and Michelle Henderson, her granddaughter, Heather Henderson, her son, James Henderson, two other grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Avon Park at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Avon Park or the American Cancer Society.
