Emmett Champion Bond, age 68 passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Silver Springs, Florida. He worked in the Dairy Industry, of the Protestant faith and had been a lifelong resident of Highlands County. He is survived by his sons-Alex Wade Bond (Penny Lynn McConnell) of New York and Emmett C. Bond, Jr. (Cindy Jo Spalding) of Lynne, Florida; brother-Larry W. Bond (Velma) of Avon Park, Florida; sister-Barbara Ward (Bud) of Avon Park, Florida; grandchildren-Tiffaney A. Bond of Oneta, New York, Ellie Mae Kingsley of Pierpoint Manor, New York, Nicholas Paul McConnell of Utica, New York and Jesse James McConnell of Waterton, New York; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Laurel Bond. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Pinecrest Cemetery with Rev. Mike Adams officiating.
