Emily Hand Biggs

Emily Barrow Biggs, age 90 passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Pelham, Georgia to David Crenshaw and Emily Elizabeth (Hand) Barrow. She was a Teacher, member of The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer; she had been a resident of Avon Park since 1945 coming from Desoto City, Florida; she loved her family and loved children and teaching them. She is survived by her daughters-Carolyn B. Smith of Avon Park, Florida, Sandra K. Biggs, D.C. of Dallas, Texas and Susan B. Burgess of Avon Park, Florida; grandchildren-Todd Michael Smith (Dawn) of California, Scott Christopher Smith (Tammy) of Panama City, Florida, Elizabeth Biggs Burgess and Larson Montgomery Burgess both of Avon Park, Florida; great grandchildren-Sarah I. Smith of California, Reagan McKenzie of Panama City, Florida and Keegan Reed of Panama City, Florida. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer with Mother Joyce Holmes officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice or to The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Avon Park, Florida.
