Emilee Smalling Shereretz

Emilee Shereretz, age 98, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on August 10, 1916 to the late Raymond Smalling and Julia Mettelal in Johnson City, TN. Emilee has been a resident of Highlands County since 1947 having come from Tennessee. She was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, working in the yard, and going to flea markets. Emilee is survived by her sons: Raymond William Shereretz and Walter Frank Shereretz. She was predeceased by her husband: Walter William Shereretz Jr., daughter: Mary Elva Seims, and sisters: Agness Sellers, and Elva Smalling. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Stephenson-Nelson with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
