Elsie C. Kenney

Elsie C. Kenney, wife of Robert G. Kenney, was born in New Milford, Connecticut May 14, 1935, daughter of Gustaf and Signe Carlson. She graduated from Meriden Hospital School of nursing, Northwest Community College and St. Joseph’s College. She was a registered nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator. Early in her career she was a head nurse at the Lahey Clinic in Boston and was a Director of nurses at several long term care facilities in Connecticut, eventually becoming an administrator. Survivors besides her husband include a sister, Jean Holmes, a niece and her husband Judy and Chris Brown, a nephew and his wife Bill and Debbie Holmes, two grand nephews, Colin and Tyler Brown, a nephew, Carl Carlson, a niece, Barbara Carlson and other nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Multiple Myeloma Inst. For Research and Therapy at the Univ. of Arkansas, Little Rock, AR would be appreciated. Private burial service will be at New Milford Cemetery.
