Elmer E. Brown

Elmer E. Brown, age 76, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Sebring, FL. He was born on September 8,1945 in Sussex, New Jersey to Elmer E. Brown Sr. and Dorothy ( Boyd ) Brown. He worked as a trucking dispatcher. Elmer is survived by his loving wife, Margery; sons, Keith Brown of Caribou, ME; Eric Brown and his wife, Kara, of Lawrenceburg, IN; sisters, Stella Stalter of Bloomingdale, NJ; Sharon Russman of Mephoopany, PA; Dorothy Annese (Fedele) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Surviving are also 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Adam and Zachery Brown, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. He attended Roxbury Twp, NJ, schools. He resided more than 30 years in McAfee NJ where he helped raise his family and served as a volunteer firefighter with the McAfee Fire Dept. He retired early from Riverdale Quarry (Tilcon of NY). He and Margery then moved to Parkersburg WV where he was employed by the City of Parkersburg Memorial Bridge. After fully retiring he moved to Carrollton GA. During retirement he spent many happy years traveling, enjoying time on his houseboat, summers at the family cabin in Maine, and RV parks snowbirding in Florida, finally settling in Sebring for the last 7 years. He will be most remembered for his love of family and charming sense of humor. A private family memorial will be held at a later date and the family requests that memorial donations be made to University of California, San Francisco Foundation, Bioartificial Kidney Project, PO Box 45339, San Francisco, CA,94145 or online at makeagift.ucsf.edu
