Ellene Elizabeth Fields

Ellene Elizabeth Fields, age 82, of Sebring, FL, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018.  She was born June 11, 1935 in Babson Park, FL to Hollis Emmitt and Mary Elizabeth (Womack) Richards.  Ellene was Owner & Operator of Ida’s Gift Shop, served on the Sebring Airport Authority Board, Sebring Downtown Merchants Association, Sebring City Council 1985-1995, and along with her husband, served as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus for the City of Sebring for over 25 years, she is of Baptist Faith and has been a lifelong resident of Sebring, FL.  She is survived by her Daughters – Terry Elwood of Sebring, FL; Brenda Bachman (Mark) of Sebring, FL; Sherri Bennett (Jackie) Sebring, FL; Grandchildren – Dusty Weed, Ross Weed, Austin Weed, Taylor Whidden, Hunter Bennett, Kendall McIntyre, Kori Bachman, Cody Owens, Brandon Owens, Martha Elwood; and 16 Great Grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her Husband – Kenneth W. Fields; Son – Wayne Weed; and 3 Brothers.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the Grace Bible Church.  Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 2525 Drane Field Road, Suite 4, Lakeland, FL 33811.
