ELLEN MARY SCHNABLE Ellen Mary Schnable, 71, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010, in Sebring. She was born June 15, 1939, to Earl B. and Marcella M. (Measel) Melcher in Detroit, Michigan, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1973, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was a Secretary for the Highlands County School Board, retiring in 1994 and was a member of First Christian Church in Wauchula, Fl. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Durham Eason of Sebring; son, Barry L. (Amber) Schnable, Jr., Lake Wales, FL; sister, Alice Shallenberger, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother, Edward (Patricia) Melcher, Concord, NC and four grandchildren, Sean (Megan) Keleher, Wauchula, FL; Cameron (Courtney) Durham, Avon Park, FL; Samantha Schnable and Baelea Schnable, both of Lake Wales, FL. Visitation with family will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at First Christian Church, 1121 Louisiana St., Wauchula, FL, with Rev. Darin Canary officiating.
