Ella Engle Hedrick

Ella Engle Hedrick, 98, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her home. She was born December 16, 1913, to John L. and Matilda (Hammer) Kimberly in Jewell, Ohio, and had been a resident of Highlands County since 1982, coming from Sherwood, Ohio. She was a meat packer in a packing plant and a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Sebring. She enjoyed working in her flowers and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Ronald) Burke, Defiance, Ohio; Shirley (Richard) Sherman, Alvarado, Texas and Sharon (Dugan) Fry, Sebring, Florida; six grandchildren, Steve, Mike, Rich, Sherri, Dugan and Gary; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dallas Engle in 1993 and Paul Hedrick in 2005; son, Dallas Gary Engle; four sisters and two brothers.
