Elizabeth Louise Coates

Elizabeth Louise Coates, age 87 passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Covington, Kentucky to William and Edna (Ewing) Armstrong. She was the Secretary at Central Baptist Church in Fountain City, Tennessee for 25 years, a writer for the Childrens Division of Southern Baptist Sunday School Board, she conducted workshops on Childrens Ministry, she was a Master Gardner, served as Program Director of the Senior Adult Group at the First Baptist Church in Sebring, Florida, she worked on the Feeding Unit of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team, she was a graduate of Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, member of the First Baptist Church in Sebring and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1985 coming from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband of 64 years-James C. Coates of Avon Park, Florida; daughter-Cheryl Henson (Floyd) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren-Jennifer, Patrick and Benjamin Henson; nephew-Cecil Allf of Ameilia Island, Florida. Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. o 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sebring with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
