Elizabeth "Libby" Chaffino Heston

Elizabeth “Libby” Chaffino Heston, age 65, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025.  She was born in Houston, Texas to Samuel and Lucy (Aguirre) Chaffino.  Libby enjoyed creating floral arrangements while working with Hobby Hill Florist and landscaping with South Florida State College, where she met many of her closest friends. She coached softball for Dixie Youth for many years, and was loved by all her girls. She was of Baptist Faith, and was a member of First Baptist Church and has been a resident of Sebring, Florida for 43 years, coming from Houston, Texas.  Libby retired to spend time and love on her beautiful grandchildren who lovingly called her “GraGra”. She was known for her quick wit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Libby is survived by her Daughters – Lucia Heston of Maine; Elyse Heston of Sebring, FL; and Grandchildren – Ava Louise and Jacob “Jakey.”  She is preceded in death by her Parents Samuel and Lucy Chaffino and  Siblings, Ruth, Jr., Cheryl and David.
