Elbert “Buddy” Murray Darling

Buddy Darling, 81, of Sebring, Fl., passed away Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born to the late Murray and Annie Laurie (Thompson) Darling on March 27, 1936 in Capleville, TN. He retired from Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division and has been a resident of Sebring since 2006 coming from Wellington, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring, loved the Florida State Football and basketball teams. He enjoyed reading and working in the yard and taking care of his plants. Survivors include; wife: Charlotte Darling-FL., brother: Tommy (Thelma) Darling-WA and two grandsons: Austin and Cody-CA. He was preceded in death by son: Larry Darling and Sister: Margaret Traylor.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM with family receiving friends beginning at 9:30 AM at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. Private family interment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
