Earnest "Chuck" Westberry

Chuck Westberry passed away in his Sebring home Monday, September 2, 2019. He was a known and respected member of the Sebring Business Community, owning Chuck Westberry Electrical Contractor, Inc. serving Highlands County and the State of Florida. He has been doing business in our community since 2000, mostly assisting residents with their electrical issues.

Chuck was born August 22, 1957 in Savannah, GA where he was raised by his parents, Jimmy and Myrtle. He joined the Army at 17 and served state side at White Sands working with electronics. After the military he continued his career with electricity and computer networking which allowed him to travel to places like Rio de Janerio, St. Thomas and many others working for prominent world wide corporations.

Those who knew Chuck would agree that he was a joy to be around and was usually the life of the party. He was fun loving and a thrill seeker at heart. Chuck never did anything half hearted and aspired to be the best at whatever he did to include becoming a master scuba diver, receiving his pilot’s license, and becoming a certified skydiver. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting, and riding his motorcycle.

Chuck Westberry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law “Ed” and Sharon Westberry of Sebring, sister, Theresa Hogg of Sebring, his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Sandee Westberry of Zephyrhills, and his daughter, Laura Westberry of Royersford, PA.

Chuck did not wish to have any ceremony services in his honor, just that those who knew him to remember the fun times they had together. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the Highlands County Humane Society.
