Earl J Fassler

Earl Joseph Fassler, age 90, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Royal Care Skilled Nursing Facility in Avon Park, FL.  He was born September 17, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Myrtle Holland Fassler.  He has been a resident of Sebring since 1974.  He is a graduate of Vienna Township High School in Vienna, Illinois, was an Army Veteran, worked as a brick mason at the National Lead in St Louis and after moving to Florida he was a painting contractor.  He is survived by his wife Nancy K. Fassler of Sebring, Son; Brian D. Fassler (Londa) of Sebring, Daughters; Deann L. Peltz (Alan) of Tallahassee, Lori A. Bustamante (Jaime) of Sebring, two step daughters; Karen A. Stanger (Bob) and Joyce D. Doyle (Col. Scott, Ret.) and two step sons; Scott B. Taylor and Keith C. Taylor (Jane), thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren combined many nieces, nephews and two brothers-in-law.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Juva L. Fassler, Father- Joseph J. Fassler and Mother- Myrtle Weckermeyer, sisters; Eva May “Irish” Bernd and Delores Fassler, half-brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Carolyn Fassler.  Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel at 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL 33870 with Pastor Andy McQuaid officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation at parkinsonhope.org or Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
