Dortha Ruth Garrasi

Ruth Garrasi, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on January 27, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Russell and Lucille (Thomas) Schierbaum. Ruth had lived in the area 40 plus years and was an avid bingo player and loved to watch the Tampa Bay Rays. She adored her family and her husband was the love of her life. Survivors include her two children: Terry Yellott (Dale) and Edward Garrasi (Carol); grandchildren: Curtis Garrasi, Chris Yellott, Michael Yellott, Mathew Yellott, and Amy Flicker; great-grandchildren: Aleah Yellott and Tyler Yellott. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gabriel Garrasi. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, October 15, 2016, 7:00 pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring with Reverend Jim Baker officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 pm.
