Dorothy M. "Queenie" Crosby

Dorothy M. “Queenie” Crosby, age 79 passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on February 19, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Louis and Lillian (Bunker) Tucker. Dorothy had been a resident of Sebring for 19 years coming from Toledo and she was a member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church.  She loved to sing karaoke, read and work with ceramics.  One of her favorite things to do was sit on her lanai with a good cup of coffee and cigarette and visit with friends. She loved spending time with her BFF “Carley”. Dorothy was a heart transplant recipient from the Cleveland Clinic and also a kidney transplant recipient from her son, John. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren.  Dorothy is survived by her children, Peggy Dennette (Richard)-Sebring, FL; Lauren Herring (William)-Toledo, OH; John L. Filby, Jr.-Sebring, FL; Brian Keith Filby-Toledo, OH; Dennis Filby (Lori)-Toledo, OH; Ronald Filby-Toledo, OH, step-daughters, Susan Sanchez; Jane Vandergrif; Penny Lorigan and Betsy Mulholland, sister, Cleo Ryan, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer “Skip” Crosby, two brothers and two sisters.
